COMCARE has an Exercise Physiologist on staff to assess your needs and design your optimal exercise plan.

Our office has the ability to test the following:
Submaximal - a measure which provides an indication of your fitness level. VO2 Max is related to cardiovascular fitness and provides information regarding your aerobic capacity and your body’s ability to burn fat.
Body Fat Composition - a measure which shows the amount of lean body mass and fat mass. This test helps to determine health status, but also the amount of fat burning tissue you have.
Graded Exercise Stress Test - typically a treadmill test in which the patient’s blood pressure and electrocardiograms are monitored throughout. This is a process which examines changes in heart rhythm.
Holter Monitor - a test for patients with daily symptoms of chest pain, rapid heart or palpitations. This test records every heart beat for a 24 hour monitoring period.
King of Heart Monitor - a test for patients with intermittent symptoms such as chest pain, rapid heart rate or palpitations (fluttering or skipping of the heart). Information is sent via modem when patients have symptoms. Duration of monitoring is for 1 to 30 days.
24 - hour Blood Pressure Monitoring - a test for patients with high or low blood pressure readings. This is taken throughout the day and night so an average blood pressure can be obtained.
General Counseling - designed to help participants establish the most effective and efficient exercise program, tailored specifically to their needs.

An exercise program will be designed based on test outcomes, to optimize the time you spend with exercise. Appointments can be made by contacting our office at 785-825-8221.
